Senior cost accountant
Responsible for cost accounting activities related to our manufacturing operations. Cooperate with senior GL accountant, to analyze, to control inventory, cost of sales, product margins, and productivity. Collaborate with external audit and arrange internal control in accordance with company policy in material flows and cost accounting area.
Located in  Japan
Responsibilities Include:

•        Perform all cost accounting activities including month end close, quarterly standard cost revaluation, variance analysis, margin analysis, inventory control, etc.
•        Perform E&O and LCM analysis quarterly in conjunction with policies.
•        Support costing activities; analyze actual labor, material, overhead cost and capacity. Interact with Production Control team to ensure Bills of Materials (BOM) and Routing are accurate and up to date.
•        Collaborate with external audit staff for quarterly and annual year end audit procedures
•        Develop, maintain and ensure ongoing compliance with accounting policies and procedures and SOX 404 internal control documentation
•        Update and refine practice to control environment development
•        Sox and external audit support
•        Perform ad hoc cost analysis to support management and operations team.

Essential Qualifications:

•        Thorough understanding of US GAAP and monthly close processes
•        Fluent Japanese, English and Mandarin.


Desired Skills and Qualifications:

•        ERP / MRP systems, process and controls implementation experience desired
•        Minimum of 5 years broad-based accounting experience, service for the semiconductor industry is plus.
•         International accounting experience highly desirable
•        Excellent planning, analytical, interpersonal and communication skills
•        Attention to detail, organized and thorough with desire for continuous improvement
